Introducing Myself

Hello everyone and welcome to my class blog! My name is Kevin Lan and I am a 4th year MOS student at main campus currently specializing in commercial aviation management. I am very excited to get to know all of you in the upcoming weeks. I was born and raised in Toronto and have enjoyed growing up here over the years. My hobbies include snowboarding, basketball, swimming as well as boxing. I also have a great love for travelling and going to many new places around the world, my favorite destination that I have been to is Paris, France where I loved the unique architecture and rich history that the city had. I certainly do look forward to traveling again in the near future as I believe there is never enough of the world that you can’t explore!
With this being my last year at Western, I am looking to completing my pilot licenses in flight school after I have graduated to become a pilot in the upcoming years. Flying has always been a part of my interest as I enjoy the thrill of being up in the air as being a pilots also have upsides in being able to travel much more often. Currently I am interested in crypto as I have invested various amounts in cryptocurrency, you can always find me talking about crypto, the stock market and Toronto’s real estate all the time!
When it comes to goals in this course, I hope I can become a more effective business communicator as I look to improve my skills that would possibly aid me in employment as well as my work field for the future. I look forward in reading all of your blog posts and providing as much constructive feedback as I can!

Hi Kevin,
It is very nice to virtually meet you. I personally believe that the program you are in is the coolest program we offer at Western. I wish that I had known more about the aviation management programs that Western offers before coming to Western. I would have possibly applied because I too have a love of flying. The world amazes me and to be that high up looking out at the clouds is so thrilling. I have not had the opportunity to travel much because my family is always so busy with other extracurricular activities. However, my hope is that once I graduate I can do some travelling of my own. I would love to see Paris, so many people like yourself have spoken so highly of it. Where would you recommend I go first?

Hi Kevin! This is Chenyu from MOS 2205 class. I can definitely feel your passion for traveling and sports! I also especially like travelling to places with rich cultural backgrounds, places with not only fatastic views to see but also epic stories to hear about. Basketball is also one of my favorite sports, I like badminton and table tennis as well! It’s surely exciting to hear that you are becoming a pilot, as a fellow travel lover, it would absolutely be a dream come true for me if I can ever fly myself around the world.
